Electronic polymath BABii dropped her new collaborative mixtape SCREAMER this year, with features from Iglooghost, Jennifer Walton, kasus, Pholo, umru, and Warpstr. Fusing DnB, garage, and jungle with pop sensibilities, the project is a reflection of her experimental writing and production. To celebrate the mixtape, BABii is releasing a limited run of 200 vinyl, with extras designed and handmade by BABii herself. The vinyl are all recycled, a more sustainable (and ultimately creative way) of producing the product.

STAFF COMMENTS

Barry says: While both 'Hide' and 'Mirror' were definitely showing signs of BABii's interest in modern EDM, garage and bass music, it's here on 'Screamer' that we really see her let lose to embrace those influences unhindered. Moments of breezy, bright electronica are offset with syncopated percussion and rich, booming sub-bass hits. A euphoric and transportive wonder.
