About this item

Club Culture Rarities is a new record label exclusively dedicated to re-prints of cult and rare 12”s taken form Expanded Music’s labels. The 3rd release on the label is the bona fide cosmic classic: "True Love" by N.O.I.A. Originally released on Italian Records in 1984 it epitomizes the opiated chug that Baldelli & Mozart pioneered across the nightclubs of Italy in the mid-80s.

Characterized by a warm, rubbery bassline, serpentine arps and steady, gated drums; it's a sound that would inform a whole movement of Citroen CV drivers and Cosmic Club mixtape advocates.

Two versions, as per the original release, one 'Platonic' one 'Sexual' (!!)'; I'd probably prefer to label them 'dreamy' and 'playful' respectively. Highly recommended cosmic heat - miss at your peril!

Patrick says: Chugging in the metaverse! N.O.I.A.s "True Love" is a properly cosmic slice of emotive synthpop and I am totally here for it.

A1. True Love (Platonic Version)
B1. True Love (Sexual Version)
