About this item

LARRY HEARD ALERT! That's right folks, the undisputed house hero is back with the first in a new string of archival 12"s featuring unreleased (and occasionally not-on-Alleviated, but really rare) tracks.

It's a full house of unheard heat on this first 12", which absolutely romps out the gates with the deep and jackin' "Chains", a Ron Wilson collaboration somehow not included on the "Another Side" LP. In keeping with the Fingers Inc style, the track utilises precision-programmed 808 (complete with occasional phasing), a wall shaking bassline and bleeping lead lines, all topped with some undeniably sleazy improvised by Ron Wilson. Killer! On the A2, "Electronic Debris" employs a percolating bass sequence, a hypnotic rhythm track, moonlit keys and soulful organs to achieve a mellow deepness which glides out the grooves.

On the B1, 'Saspense' revisits the sci-fi aesthetic and electro textures of "25 Years Fom Alpha", wrapping squirming synths around a snapping drum machine, while melancholic and detailed motifs float off skywards. Finally "Nyte Light" sees Larry lay an insistent acid line atop a sparse rhythm before boldly going into the outer limits of our solar system thanks to an intergalactic riff.

Undisputed and still undefeated after a lifetime in the game, this is THE highest grade of house music from a true living legend.
