About this item
N-Gynn coming correct with the eastern flavours for the forth installment of Hamam House. Co-produced by long time label friend Remi Mazet, and a first for the label in that it's comprising of strictly original material!
Mainly instrumental and featuring a mixed palette of electronic and organic instruments, "Turkish Delight" begins proceedings and sounds like if much of the Claremont 56 roster decamped to Istanbul to make music. Black Sea-balearic never sounded so good!
"Disco Boulette" sees proto-house beats usher forwards squelchy boogie synths and mysterious picked guitar lines - all transposed into eastern scales and sounding invigorating with it!
"Marmaris" heads MORE east ((!), namely, to Goa circa 1994 as it emits a proto-trance vibration that reeks of 24 hour free parties an excess across exotic beaches. Bracelets and beads not included!
Finally "Berka Beat" stutters and shudders in like Egyptian Lover after one to many hashish pipes! Subdued and mystic, but utilizing all areas of the drum machine, this tasty acidic electroid niggler should find favour with the more skilled leftfield DJs out there...
Sil says: Hamam House carries on producing great unique edits for the discerning folk out there. Particular attention must be payed to the staggering hypnotic 'Marmaris'. Part four is as good as the last three. Gold.
