About this item

The definitive Prince reissue series continues with a first time on vinyl for three of his essential noughties albums, "Musicology", "3121" and "Planet Earth".
Released in 2004, "Musicology" was a major return to form and the public eye for Prince after a number of years in the wilderness. Armed with a game-changing promotional plan (the CD + Ticket bundle) and his tightest material for time, Prince taught the world a lesson in funk, go-go and classic RnB inspired equally by James Brown and the neck snapping beats of Timbaland, Neptunes and Dre. The LP spawned three singles "Musicology", "Call My Name" and "Cinnamon Girl", though "Illusion, Coma, Pimp & Circumstance" and "If Eye Was The Man In Your Life" could easily have hit the charts.
