About this item
Matthew Herbert's Accidental Jnr comes correct with some more wacky shit for the club, following up some tasty releases by Jamie Lidell, Artu and Cassius Select.
A weirdo bunch awaits the listener, as Herbert kicks things off with the gurgling & primitive, "The Swamp", which nods to Toulouse Low Trax and Sued records in equal measure, whilst keeping Herbert's quirky faculties firmly in tact! Cosmo Sheldrake takes things even stranger on the gloopy, squelchy, bounce and fart track - "Splosh", which is more vintage Matthew Herbert than Matthew Herbert himself - you can see why the dance music veteran has enlisted this young upstart into his hallowed halls - excellent work sir! Yann Sexnec is equally green on the 'dance' scene, having previously turned heads through more art based approaches - famously installing a piece composed entirely on computer fans and driven by real life weather data from around the world (more info here!: https://vimeo.com/108111170)!! Finally, Crewdson completes the strangeness with "Amphibious", an apt title for a housey kinda track smothered in that aquatic patina that's dominated the EP.
