About this item

Endless Flight come through with a label debut for fresh San Fran artist Izzy Wise, whose ace 7" on Lips&Rhythm made major waves with the transatlantic heads. In full on mack mode, Izzy gets multi-instrumental across a quartet of killer Balearic disco bangers. Opener "Kejetia Star" shuffles out the speakers like an Afro-disco winner retouched for Ibiza '88, all big brass, wild moogs and irresistible rhythm. If you dug on Arp Frique or the Mauskovic dance band, you need this in your battle bag. "Dragonfruit" drops the tempo to a snake hipped stroll, rolling out Afro-latin rhythms, thick bass and a slick organ solo. Flip the pancake and cop a massive mouthful of the Afro-pop pump of "Records In The Sun", a sidestepping vocal number for poolside parties and Kickin' Pigeon's Whalley Range balcony. Though the sweet flavours and childlike vocal might suggest a lack of depth, this BBQ banger contains important info for any self respecting record collector. Finally "Barbary Fig" flips Taureg guitars over a rolling bassline and shuffling rhythm for a sunset smasher perfect for fireside rituals.
