About this item
North London's K15 returns to Eglo following his collaboration with Henry Wu. A genuinely nice guy, with a positive attitude towards music and DJ'ing, we've had a soft spot in our hearts for K15 since his early forays on Kyle Halls' Wild Oats label. Swinging Latin house grooves characterize EP opener, "Sunbeams" complete with Tropicalia-esque 'whoops' and rampant percussion section. Smiley, carnival-friendly house music that's both rich in musicality and fun. "Starburst 3" sees the producer's modern take on broken beat exemplified as he drips liquid synth work over a skitty London-centric riddim and cosmic twinklings. "Esencia" concludes with a more introspective number, though complete with the same degree of intense beat programming that's present for throughout the EP. It's another winner from this NTS regular.
