About this item

Slip into something comfortable and turn off the lights, because shit is about to get crazy. First released on the obscure Critical House Records in 1988, a seminal year in house music history, "It's House" would go on to become a much lauded club unclassic, which has been sadly out of press for far too long. Produced by Billy "Jack" Williams (of New Deep Society fame) using a minimal gear list including Roland's TR-707 drum machine, Casio SK-1 Sampler and Yamaha DX-7 synthesizer, the track boasts jackin' drums, tumbling sequences and a ferocious bassline, while the Ronseal vocal serves as a call to arms for the congregation. The "Nite Mix" on the flip drops the intensity slightly in favour of a longer, sparser and more hypnotic arrangement perfect for deep in the session.
