'Talking with the Taxman About Poetry' is the third album by Billy Bragg, originally released in September 1986.

This long overdue vinyl reissue comes in a gatefold sleeve and was remastered by John Webber at Air Studios using high-resolution transfers made from master tapes in Billy's archives. This limited-edition National Album Day release in classic black vinyl includes a bonus 7" single featuring 'Walk Away Renee' on the A-side and an etching of the 'Talking About The Taxman' album cover art on the B-side.

For 'Talking with the Taxman About Poetry', Bragg embraced a more fully realised band sound with the help of special guests Kirsty MacColl and Johnny Marr and production courtesy of John Porter (Roxy Music, The Smiths) and Kenny Jones. ‘Taxman…’ was his first top ten album and gave the world some of his most enduring songs in ‘Greetings To The New Brunette’ (his first top 40 hit), live favourite “Levi Stubbs’ Tears” about a victim of domestic abuse taking comfort in the music of the Four Tops, and classic workers’ anthem “There Is Power in a Union”.

Kicking off with R. Dean Taylor’s 'Ghost In My House' and moving through classics like Pink Floyd’s 'See Emily Play' and The Animals’ 'When I Was Young', the album closes with The Rolling Stones’ 'The Last Time', a moving track featuring Brian James himself, culled from original live performances and carefully remixed for this release, cementing the record as both a tribute and a farewell.

Originally released in 1991, 'On Every Street' is the sixth and final studio album by British rock band Dire Straits.

Recorded at London’s AIR Studios and led by Mark Knopfler’s distinctive guitar work and understated songwriting, 'On Every Street' features lead single ‘Calling Elvis’ as well as ‘Heavy Fuel’, ‘On Every Street’ and ‘The Bug’. The album reached Number 1 in the Official Album Charts in the UK and across Europe; and is certified multiplatinum across the globe.

The accompanying 14-month On Every Street tour, which would become the bands’ last, comprised of over 210 concerts played to over 3.5 million people in 22 countries.

This National Album Day 2LP half-speed mastered black vinyl is cut using a specialist technique – an artisan process, overseen by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios in London.

Seen by many as the true successor to ‘New Boots and Panties!!’, 'Mr. Love Pants' was sadly to be the final studio album from Ian Dury before his death in 2000 but in a building of relations, it was also the first studio album with the Blockheads for 17 years and featured the remaining band Chaz Jankel, Norman Watt-Roy, John Turnbull, Micky Gallagher, Davey Payne and now Steven Monti on drums after the sad passing of Charley Charles.

The album marked the first time in the history of The Fall that the group released three consecutive studio albums recorded with the same line-up!

The album was produced by Mark E. Smith and the Fall's frequent collaborator and former bass guitarist Simon Archer.

In his sleeve notes for the album, Smith wrote that "brighter mixes and versions existed but these were dismissed because brightness does not fit with 'Erzatz GB'!"

Remastered and reissued as a 2LP set last year for its 30th anniversary deluxe boxed set, it is being made available as a stand-alone 2LP special edition for the first time for National Album Day. The artist selected ultra clear vinyl for this landmark pressing and it comes housed in a unique gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves that mirror those in the boxed set.

Truly one of the greatest British bands to come out of the 1976 / 1977 musical rupture that was Punk, Dunfermline's Skids went on to demonstrate they had so much more to them than many of their contemporaries. Always a tight and powerful musical powerhouse they enjoyed a string of classic chart hits between 1978 and 1979 (‘Into The Valley’, ‘Masquerade’, ‘Working For The Yankee Dollar’ etc).

Following this, they surprised and delighted fans and critics alike with 1980’s ambitious and experimental third album outing ‘The Absolute Game’. The album was also the first to feature feature new bassist Russell Webb and his inclusion, along with the contribution of new producer Mick Glossop, made for an accomplished and progressive evolution.

For this stunning 2LP vinyl reissue, ‘The Absolute Game’, and ‘Strength Through Joy’, have been remastered from the source tapes, thereby correcting previous problems with the album’s tape transfers. The work was undertaken by respected audio engineer George Shilling (previous credits include Blur, Teenage Fanclub, Bernard Butler, Oasis, Primal Scream). Blue stone translucent vinyl.
