The "very loud" crowd noise was overdubbed and was actually taken from a boxing match and wholly inappropriate for the purpose. Now, almost 60 years on, the album masters are available, in their original sequence, without the crowd noise, to be enjoyed in their full psychedelic splendor. The album line-up consisted of Trevor Horn, Anne Dudley, Paul Morley and Lol Creme, along with other appearances from John Hurt, soprano Sally Bradshaw, Rakim, and Donna Lewis. The Seduction of Claude Debussy is the fifth and final studio album by The Art of Noise, released in 1999 and saw the realisation of a long time recurring idea of Trevor Horns’ (as borrowed by the Pet Shop Boys lyric in ‘Left To My Own Devices’) with the blending of music of French impressionist composer Claude Debussy with drum and bass, opera, hip hop, jazz, and narration, to create a concept album described as "the soundtrack to a film that wasn't made about the life of Claude Debussy.“ The album is newly mastered by Phil Kinrade at Air Studios using the original production master and includes the Rakim featuring single ‘Metaforce’ and in addition this Exclusive Double Vinyl LP features four era specific bonus tracks. The bonus tracks originally to be released in July 1998 as a 12" single to promote the album, were previously only released on the Digital EP ‘Born Again!’ and have never been released on a physical format before now.

Produced by jazz icon Herbie Mann, Daddy Bug is full of cool, stylish vibraphone-heavy instrumental jazz with contributions from some of the best sidemen in the business - including Herbie Hancock on piano, Ron Carter on bass, Hubert Laws on flute, Sonny Sharrock on guitar, and both Bruno Carr and Freddie Waits on drums. Released on 3LP with each disc pressed in a different colour of the Rainbow (Translucent Red, Yellow and Blue) and Newly Mastered by Andy Pearce & Matt Wortham When Rainbow finally landed in Europe for their debut live shows there, it was on the back of both the albums ‘Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow’ and ‘Rainbow Rising’ having charted, so the band were playing sold out venues, and what a band… with the line up consisting of Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie James, Cozy Powell, Jimmy Bain and Tony Carey As one of the cornerstones of British Rock, Rainbow, led by the never-predictable but ever-astonishing guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore, became synonymous with some of the most well regarded and popular charting Rock songs of the seventies and eighties. This show recorded on the bands Rainbow Rising tour in 1976 in Cologne Germany, features stone cold classics such as ‘Stargazer’ and ‘Man on the Silver Mountain’. This live album has only been available on CD pressings originally made 20 years ago, both as a single concert / as part of the Japan only 6-CD Box Set Deutschland Tournee 1976. 24-track singles compilation 2xLP in limited blue vinyl; notes by Colin Jerwood. Sadly, main-man Colin Jerwood died in May 2025, shortly after the release of their first album in 20 years. Conflict are one of the world’s foremost activist anarchist punk band. First heard on their mentors Crass’s label, their ‘to a nation of animal lovers’ EP inspired anti-vivisection, anti-hunt campaigns. Espousing direct action and numerous political causes, on their own Mortarhate label (through Jungle) they dominated the top of the singles and albums indie charts through the eighties. Gigs turned into full-scale riots, with hundreds arrested, leading to national outrage headlines. Police banned them from performing in the UK, so they went underground and abroad. They kept touring; a resurgence of interest in the punk movement reactivated them in the 21st century and they continue to have a dedicated audience.

The 1956 Europen sessions with Miles Davis and the Birdland All Stars lineup (with Lester Young and MJQ) see their 70th anniversary. New and exclusive vinyl only pressings will be available for RSD26 on heavweight colour edition gatefold LPs. Miles Davis broke up his ‘First Great Quintet’ in 1956 as a consequence of John Coltrane’s severe heroin addiction. Miles, having recovered from his own addiction, fired Coltrane and drummer Philly Joe Jones in March 1956 due to their struggles with the drug. At the same time Miles was struggling with the racial tensions and prejudice he suffered in the U.S., as well as his growing infamy and bad reputation domestically. Miles had previously toured Paris in 1949 and relished the experience of performing in front of a more accepting audience. In order to advance his career and enjoy some respite from his turbulent home, Miles accepted an offer to tour Europe with a new group of musicians. They were named the ‘Birdland All Stars’, and included Lester Young, the Modern Jazz Quartet, and many other top-tier jazzmen. These recordings are the only ones in history to feature both Miles and Lester, and took place over several concerts from the tour.

On March 30th we gave the first performance of The Great Western Road Trip at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall.

As if opening night anxiety was not enough, we were also playing nine new songs for the very first time with the added fear factor of a request by BBC Scotland to record the concert. Somehow all of these factors combined to focus us into playing, what we now realise, was one of our best performances there or anywhere for some time.

There was one unknown factor. That night was to be the last time we would play in Scotland with our friend and brother James Miller Prime. So, this is a very special recording of six close friends and musicians making music, unaware they were on their last ever run of shows together. We hope the excitement we felt at creating the show comes over and you enjoy this unique recording of very special Edinburgh night.

Dear Children of Our Children, I Knew is a new EP recorded by Alabaster DePlume in the middle of his March 2025 US tour. DePlume had been playing shows with bassist Shahzad Ishmaeli and drummer Tcheser Holmes, performing music of his critically-acclaimed album A Blade Because A Blade Is Whole (released March 2025). The trio's rapport was so strong that DePlume chose to use an off day in Brooklyn to record this collection of instrumentals, which were inspired by experiences he had sharing, performing and improvising off the music of A Blade for audiences across the US. Dear Children in a sense serves as an epilogue to A Blade, which makes it all the more appropriate that the B side of its RSD-exclusive vinyl release contains the three song EP Cremisan: Prologue to A Blade, which was released (digital only) in fall 2024. As with almost everything that DePlume has put forth in recent years, the connection of this work to Palestine is deep: the Cremisan EP itself was recorded in Palestine; Dear Children includes samples of children recorded in Bethlehem; and the album's cover art depicts wheatpaste posters of a drawing made by a 13 year old boy from Gaza (used with permission).

Recorded in 1995 and released on CD in 2019, this is the vinyl debut for this fantastic DR John Album. 1000 copies on double purple vinyl for RSD 2026. “Ya know, dis would be dat thing I was always using my head for: a big band thing with my New Orleans riffs.” Thus spoke Mac Rebennack, a.k.a. Dr. John, while tossing around ideas with his manager Stanley Chaisson ahead of a 1995 tour. Not long afterward, he manifested that vision in Cologne, Germany, where he recorded 16 tracks with the WDR Big Band. It remained on ice, until now. On the opening “Indian Red,” Mac name-checks Mardi Gras Indian tribes and soars to new heights when WDR jumps in with the gale-force gusto of a truly big band, summoning a real second-line rave-up. “New York City Blues” swings with enough swagger to light up Times Square, while “I’m Just Lucky” invokes the glitz of Vegas in its Rat Pack heyday. Both put a new spin on songs from Afterglow, the 1995 album Dr. John was touring behind, which also included moodier pieces like “Gee Baby.” Though not every track is one for the ages, this live set makes a fine addition to every Dr. John fan’s library, and delivers exactly what the good doctor intended to conjure: Big Band Voodoo. Founded Frankfurt in the mid 90s, Serious Dropout is a collective of producers, DJs and musicians with various projects blending Dub Reggae with different forms of Electronic music reflecting their various musical backgrounds ranging from Techno House and leftfield Electronica to Reggae and Dancehall, Breakbeat and Drum`n`Bass.

Greg Dread is a writer, producer, drummer, dj and founding member of leading UK Dub band Dreadzone, operating since 1993. In the 80s he had been a member of Big Audio Dynamite together with Mick Jones, formerly with Punk legends The Clash.

Don Letts is known for his work as Grammy-winning filmmaker, creator of legendary music videos and also as an acclaimed Selector since the late 70s, when he helped to form the connection between Reggae and Punk by playing Dub records in The Roxy, London’s first Punk club. He remains a defining voice in British subculture.

First ever release for this incredible live concert from Ian Dury & The Blockheads at London’s Dominion Theatre on Christmas Eve 1980, pressed exclusively for Record Store Day on Orange coloured 2LP. Originally transmitted as a special TV performance for the ‘Old Grey Whistle Test’ on BBC2 TV and for John Peel on BBC Radio 1. Following on from the run of singles "Reasons to Be Cheerful, Part 3", "I Want to Be Straight" and "Sueperman's Big Sister" 1980 saw the release of new album ‘Laughter’ by Ian Dury & The Blockheads. The ‘Laughter’ tour took place in December 1980 and on Christmas Eve Ian Dury & The Blockheads performed at London’s Dominion Theatre live on Radio 1 and on TV via BBC2’s ‘Old Grey Whistle Test’ – introduced on TV by Annie Nightingale and on radio by John Peel. With The Blockheads now featuring former Dr Feelgood frontman, Wilko Johnson on guitar taking the place of the now departed Chaz Jankel the live show also features additional musicians Don Cherry (father of Neneh) and Topper Headon (The Clash) in addition to the Blockheads line up of lan Dury, Davey Payne, John Turnbull, Norman Watt-Roy, Mickey Gallagher and Charlie Charles.
