Show Me Heaven EP (RSD25 EDITION)

THIS IS A RECORD STORE DAY 2025 EXCLUSIVE, LIMITED TO ONE PER PERSON.

Archive has never really been a band that do cover versions, preferring to forge their own musical direction, absorbed in their own creations. When they started their Patreon fan subscription service they decided to explore the world of the cover version, searching out “classic" songs that the band felt had potential for reinterpretation. The resulting 'Show Me Heaven EP’ released on limited edition 10” red-splatter vinyl represents three of their most successful experiments. Archive founding member Darius Keeler says of the release, “We felt that the reinterpretations worked so well we wanted to bring them to a wider audience, and we’ve always wanted to do something for Record Store Day, so putting the two wishes together seemed like the perfect solution!”

    Jeff Bridges

    Slow Magic, 1977-1978 (RSD25 EDITION)

THIS IS A RECORD STORE DAY 2025 EXCLUSIVE, LIMITED TO ONE PER PERSON.

“Music is the weed that keeps popping out of the concrete in my life. It just seems to want to come out.” –Jeff Bridges

      •All tracks previously unreleased
•20-pg booklet including liner notes by Sam Sweet, new interview with Jeff Bridges, and never-before-seen archival photos
      •Featuring Burgess Meredith (Rocky)
•Vinyl pressed on transparent blue wax at RTI

Culled from a single decaying cassette tape labeled “July 1978,” these recordings are a window into the secret musical life of the Dude. Even after becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Bridges spent all his free time jamming and recording with a trusted circle of musicians composed of childhood friends, artists, and assorted L.A. oddballs.

Imagine The Band playing at CBGB with The Exploding Plastic Inevitable. Or Arthur Russell and the Talking Heads collaborating on a suite of mutant disco. Though Bridges and his friends were brought up around the movie industry, they decided to create their own private musical universe, where they could be as weird as they wanted.

-Previously unreleased music by actor/musician Jeff Bridges, recorded 1977-1978
-Record Store Day Exclusive pressed at RTI on special color vinyl
-Features audio freshly remastered by GRAMMY®-nominated engineer John Baldwin
-Beautifully packaged gatefold LP with 20-page booklet featuring liner notes by Sam Sweet & never-before-seen archival images
-Album artwork by the legendary Lou Beach (Bill Withers, YMO, Blink 182, Weird Al)
-Released with the full support of Jeff Bridges (The Dude himself!)

Every Wednesday night, actor Jeff Bridges & his old pals would gather at their friend’s warehouse. Throughout the 70s-80s, musician/artist Steve Baim would offer up his Culver City digs with only one rule in mind: No Songs Allowed. That meant, whatever would transpire in these Wednesday night jam sessions was meant to be spontaneous… and would be documented. From these late-night Wednesday jams emerged a body of work that Bridges was inspired to record. Booking proper studio time at LA’s famed Village Recorders, Bridges and his collaborative circle of friends, including Lou Beach, Burgess Meredith, and John Lilly, captured quite a collection of tracks. Imagine the sound of CBGBs meets The Band meets The Exploding Plastic Inevitable. Jeff is thrilled for these recordings to finally see the light of day, opening up his musical archive for the first time since these songs were laid to tape.

        Goat And Graveyard

Ship Of Fools / Light As A Feather (Coloured Vinyl) (RSD25 EDITION)

THIS IS A RECORD STORE DAY 2025 EXCLUSIVE, LIMITED TO ONE PER PERSON.

The past year has been one of evolution for Goat. 2024’s eponymous album found the band refining their fuzz, dipping deeper into ‘70s psych-funk, and reconnecting with the sonic sear that’s long been their guiding light. Always consummate collaborators, they capped off 2024 eyeing the future with a 7” single that paired their heat with hip-hop, working with acclaimed Ugandan artist MC Yallah. The bands often used the short format as a springboard for collaboration and experimentation and after singles with Yallah, Al Lover, and Bonnacons of Doom, Goat cues up a double-A doozy that reconnects them with longtime Gothenburg friends Graveyard.

For a new Record Store Day single the bands blend their sounds into a twin toke of sweat and singe. Born out of a history of house jams at Goat HQ, the single unwinds Graveyard’s more meticulous nature. “Ship of Fools” unleashes a tsunami of sound, guitars barreling down on the listener with ill intent. The wave crests and quenches, though, leaning into the soul-soaked direction of Graveyard’s latest album, “6”. Head to head the bands dig towards a stadium sound that’s still slicked with the swagger of the ‘70s, but rolled in more of Graveyard’s grandeur than Goat’s eclectic grit.

The flip side lights up the speakers, less dense than anything either band has hooked into for some time. The jammy approach that inspired the session pays off throughout “Light as a Feather,” soaking up prime-period Stones if they’d aimed for the heart of the sun with Father Yod in the driver’s seat. Sloughing off the shackles of verse/chorus/verse structure, the song picks up mid-ecstatic peak, the listener already in thrall to the groove, simmering in the sway-along harmonies before an acid-butter burner of a solo sends the whole thing rippling out into the cosmos

                    Iggy Pop

The Idiot - National Album Day 2025 Edition

Originally released in 1977, this was the first album Iggy Pop made after the dissolution of the Stooges, several jailings and a self-imposed stay in a mental institution. Produced by David Bowie, and including music written almost entirely by him, this is Iggy's most introspective and heavy work. Much more mechanical than the sleazy proto-punk of the Stooges, The Idiot was a huge influence on the post-punk sound of folks like Joy Division and Magazine. An absolute classic.

Now in limited edition Transparent Orange vinyl.

                            T.Rex

Bolan's Zip Gun (50th Anniversary Edition) - National Album Day 2025 Edition

To commemorate this year's Rock-themed National Album Day, Demon Records are delighted to announce this 50th anniversary limited edition vinyl reissue of 'Bolan's Zip Gun'. Landing smack-bang in the middle of the '70s the decade, lest we forget, Marc Bolan and T.Rex had helped officially kick off in 1970 with 'Ride A White Swan' the album, with its mix of space- age soul and hypnotic rock 'n' roll repetition originally confused some critics but has since come to be regarded as something of a hidden gem. As usual, Marc knew which way the wind was blowing and 'Bolan's Zip Gun' both pays tribute to the glorious American R&B and funk that so dominated the era and anticipates Britain's punk revolution just around the corner. Not for nothing did Siouxsie Sioux once nominate the frenetic 'Think Zinc' as one of her favourite records.

An album highlight, 'Think Zinc' became a single in Germany only but 'Bolan's Zip Gun' did produce two further classic T. Rex singles in 'Light Of Love' and 'Zip Gun Boogie'. With Dino Dines added to the band's line up on keyboards, and Marc's soul singer girlfriend Gloria Jones now a permanent member on backing vocals and clavinet, the album represented a huge leap forward in the T. Rex sound.

The sleeve artwork was credited to famed graphics wizard John Kosh, who created a distinctive peek- a- boo die- cut design. For the first time as a vinyl reissue, this has been replicated. It also comes in "Bug Glasses Baby Blue" vinyl to reflect the distinctive glasses Bolan wears on the reverse of the sleeve.

Metal Machine Music: Power To Consume, Vol. 1 - Black Friday 2025 Edition

THIS IS A BLACK FRIDAY 2025 EXCLUSIVE.

Inspired by Lou Reed’s groundbreaking 1975 noise opus 'Metal Machine Music', this collection assembles a formidable lineup of sonic provocateurs—Aaron Dilloway, Drew McDowall, Thurston Moore, Pharmakon, The Rita, and Mark Solotroff—to explore the outer edges of distortion, feedback, and raw electronic texture.

Each artist channels the spirit of Reed’s original manifesto of anti-music, pushing their own boundaries through modular synthesis, tape manipulation, harsh noise, and industrial decay. The result is a visceral, immersive experience that celebrates chaos, confronts structure, and redefines what music can be.
