On debut EP ‘KILL Bathing Suits’ the four-piece move through noise-trance club in seven-minute epic ‘Empathy’, snarling big beats, basslines and battering feedback in break-out single ‘I Can Be A Freak’ and four to the floor fierceness in new single ‘Swan Princess’.
The 12” also includes an exclusive remix from their producer DJ Subaru.

Originally published as a digital-only release through Otto's own WNOADIARWB website and platforms on New Year's Eve 2022, 'Songs Before Bed' bridges the gap between the more experimental psychedelic electronic works of Otto and his most recent release, the acclaimed 'Peanut', released on NYE 2025. Blending brief pop fragments with melodic bedroom guitar, droning ambient shoegaze textures, and blissful IDM jaunts reminiscent of the Rephlex catalog, the album offers a seamless overview of Otto Benson's genre-defying sound. Originally conceived as a late-night record, 'Songs Before Bed' rewards listening at any hour.
Remastered for vinyl by Stephan Mathieu and pressed on Sonopress EcoRecord, an environmentally conscious alternative to PVC, special care was taken by Palto Flats and Otto Benson to make a sustainable product without sacrificing sound quality.
STAFF COMMENTS
Matt says: With opiated echoes of Mac Demarco and Cindy Lee, late night vintage synthesizer rhythm sections a la Timmy Thomas, future ambient and atmospheres that'd excite Dean Blunt, and even moments of inspired glitchy electronica; if it wasn't so humbly presented I'd say Otto Benson was showing off! This is incredible stuff folks.TRACK LISTING

Along with the Sex Pistols, Clash and The Damned, The Boys were part of the first wave of the mid-1970s UK punk explosion. Armed with an arsenal of killer Steel/Dangerfield songs The Boys became the first UK punk band to sign an album deal in January 1977. Highly regarded by the music press and their contemporaries, their well-crafted songs, together with Steel and Dangerfield’s love of harmonies, led to them being described as ‘The Beatles of Punk’ but they could (and should) just as deservedly have been compared to the Ramones – fast, alternately brattish and tongue-in-cheek, and gloriously anthemic.
The new single features original founding members and songwriting team Matt Dangerfield and Casino Steel, along with long time members Chips Kiesbye & Kent Norberg (from mega Swedish band Sator) & Martin H-Son (ex-Backstreet Girls). Renowned international filmmaker, and ex bass player from The Crybabys, Danny Garcia makes a guest appearance on ‘Never Mind the Botox’ as well as providing promo videos for both songs.

Orange krush cloudy vinyl
'In the Spirit World Now' is full of layered sonic fury and anxiety, each song building up to a point and then descending down through a militant, catchy hook. 'Turn Away the Bad Thing' sets the tone, guitars climbing around the driving bass line, as Ross Farrar sings, “It’s getting harder for me to be alright/Eyes adjusting to the dark/The momentum of all these last resorts built inside of me.”
Songs like 'Presaging the End' and 'Calming Water' feel romantic and distressed, while 'Further I Was' and 'Years of Love' are driven by Farrar’s rebellious energy as he repeats the hook with a deadpan realness. “Years of love can be forgotten/In the hatred of a day.” But the true stand-out is the title track, 'In the Spirit World Now', a haunting pop gem with a sticky chorus and lead synth riff that plants itself in your head as Farrar chants the track’s name over and over like a mantra.
'In the Spirit World Now' is a sort of nebulous and ectoplasmic place where things may not be quite what they seem,” he says. “It means sh*t is about to get weird.” The album marked a milestone for this Northern California punk outfit who have always stayed true to themselves as songwriters throughout massive sonic growth throughout their storied career.

On her new album 'Great Television', the Florida-bred singer songwriter maps the hidden corners of the American experience with both daring self-revelation and fierce curiosity, imbuing every song with her singular balance of soul and sensitivity and unshakable grit.
Her first new project since 2020’s 'Aftermath', the Nashville-based musician’s eighth studio LP arrives alongside the theatrical release of The Easy Kind - a hybrid documentary/narrative film about her life as an artist fundamentally resistant to conformity, tracing a turbulent journey that began with singing on bar stages with her parents’ band at just four years old. Taken together, 'Great Television' and 'The Easy Kind' reaffirm the extraordinary legacy Cook has forged by following her own vision wherever it leads.
Produced by Shooter Jennings (Tanya Tucker, Turnpike Troubadours) and recorded with Cook’s live band at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, 'Great Television' marks a commanding new addition to a formidable catalog including triumphs like 2007’s 'Balls', 2010’s 'Welder' 2016’s 'Exodus of Venus'.

Coupdekat aka Katherine Reilly is a co-founder of Loud LDN and has been a key figure in the capital's (hyper)pop revival.
“I wanted this album to be a return to a time before having a phone and social media, before the self-awareness and pressure of being perceived. I missed the freedom and spontaneity of girlhood, I was so much more confident expressing myself back then. I wanted Goodbye 2012! to feel like a return to that moment in time.”
STAFF COMMENTS
Matt says: Finding her own little smidgen of unclaimed hyperpop territory, somewhere between the boarders of Sophie, Erika De Casier and Charli XCX; we have Coupdekat - who's hyped-up, slickly produced ode to the pre-I-Phone era is a fun, face-paced injection of chaos and charisma. Most recommended.TRACK LISTING

The trio has taken everything they’ve learned from the various projects they tackled over the years, and poured it directly into their current mix. J’s guitar approaches some of its most unhinged playing here, but there’s a sense of instrumental control that matches the sweet murk of his vocals (not that he always remembers to exercise control on stage, but that’s another milieu). This is head-bobbing riff-romance at the apex. Lou’s basswork shows a lot more melodicism now as well, although his two songs on I Bet on Sky retain the jagged rhythmic edge that has so often marked his work. And Murph…well, he still pounds the drums as hard and as strong as a pro wrestler, with deceptively simple structures that manage to interweave themselves perfectly with his bandmates’ melodic explosions.
After submerging myself in I Bet on Sky, it’s clear that the album is a true and worthy addition to the Dinosaur Jr. discography. It hews close enough to rock formalism to please the squares. Yet it is brilliantly imprinted with the trio’s magical equation, which is a gift to the rest of us. For a combo that began as anomalous fusion of hardcore punk and pop influences, Dinosaur Jr. have proven themselves to be unlikely masters of the long game.

Words from the band - ‘What we’ve learnt: writing an album all about joy is one thing, but writing it from a place of struggle is something else altogether. There’s a very raw underbelly to the harmonies and hooks. In writing these songs, we dug deep into ourselves and realised that when there is joy, life is wonderful. And when there is an absence of it, there is always hope. And it’s hope that keeps us living. The album’s message: it’s going to be ok, let’s dance in the kitchen.’

From his earliest explorations to one of the first tracks cut at his new studio in Ohio, this travelogue in sound both brings the listener forward to the present while laying out Kelly Finnigan’s road ahead.

An odyssey of anarchic joy, seditious wit and boundless energy, the album finds Josh Law and Ben Sadler pushing deeper into the singular world they have been building for years, while opening up new emotional and lyrical ground. Written in green rooms, on long car journeys and in the gaps between relentless touring, it stands as their boldest and most expansive statement to date, an ode to childhood, British cultural detritus and the absurd poetry of everyday life, distilling everything that has made Getdown Services one of the most exhilarating and unpredictable bands around. In the band’s words it is “about self pity and realising that maybe all of the healing your inner child stuff you hear about isn’t actually total bollocks. Musically and lyrically I think it’s about us trying to clean up our act a bit.”
New single ‘I Can’t Die Like That’ provides the second taste of the album and is the kind of instant earworm built for festival crowds. Wildly infectious, it is quintessential Getdown Services, pairing huge hooks with the band’s perceptive and poignant lyricism. As the band explain, “‘I Can’t Die Like That’ is about the feeling of simple things becoming complicated. We thought it was interesting to think about the ways in which something as straightforward as dying can be difficult. It’s also about clinging on to feelings that comfort you but aren’t necessarily healthy.” Like much of ‘Massive Champion’, it finds catharsis in contradiction, meeting often heavy subject matter with both candour and humour.
A triumph of hard work and the grassroots scene, Getdown Services jokingly coined themselves Britain’s Best Band. With ‘Massive Champion’, it feels less like a punchline and more like a statement of intent. As their audience continues to grow exponentially both at home and across the world, they look every bit on a fast track to becoming one of the country’s biggest and most vital bands. Joyous and utterly singular, ‘Massive Champion’ feels set to soundtrack the year ahead and, very likely, many more to come.

analogue way in which he crafts his films - all three feature films have been shot on 16mm using a Bolex clockwork camera – as well as his multifaceted roles as the writer, director, director of photography and editor of the film, once more he is responsible for handling the sound design and composing the original score.
The new score mirrors the techniques employed in the film, with analogue synthesisers drawing the listener into nebulous hypnotic tones and delicate movements.
Composed, produced, engineered and performed by Mark Jenkin using synthesiser, guitar, percussion and loops & effects, the environmental recordings remind us of the context in which the music was originally borne, but as the score ebbs and flows between ambient tranquil seas and crashing storms, it affirms its presence as a powerful stand-alone piece of work.
The score’s physical release follows the Cornish director’s third feature film: the time-travelling Rose of Nevada cinematic release in UK and Irish cinemas on 24 April, with a BFI Blu-ray and BFI Player release in the summer.

The album is a delicate balance of premeditation and improvisation. Joyce's compositions-'Mandala';' 'Uaná Eté': 'Is This Love?': 'Fingers': and 'Janeiro'-sit alongside instrumental pieces by Younge, where Joyce's voice becomes a horn, a flute, a river of melody without words. The album closes with 'Circulo Vicioso': a recitation of the iconic poem by Machado de Assis, Brazil's greatest writer. Joyce's spoken word, delivered in her native Portuguese, transforms the track into a meditation on life, death, and the cyclical nature of art.

Over six albums, May has built a wildly diverse discography spanning 17 years. He has typically worked alone, assembling perfect pop gems on his laptop, playing nearly every instrument himself. But when he began preparations for his new album, May’s tried and true process suddenly felt stale.
'The Big One' brings together both the scrappy DIY ethos of Elephant 6 Collective and early The Magnetic Fields with May’s lifelong affinity for the great ’70s singer-songwriters like Harry Nilsson and Ram-era Paul McCartney. The songs balance a clear-eyed view of the world with a cautious optimism, looking at the everyday experiences of disappointment and heartbreak with a sense of possibility for the good that may still come. Things might seem bleak, May tells us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be thankful for our brief time here on Planet Earth.
The title track is the beating heart of the record. Over a steady drumbeat, piano, and accordion, a melancholy May sings, “The big one’s coming, the big one’s on its way,” promising disaster. But May won’t wallow in the misery: “Thank the Lord for all my friends/We can make it ’til the end/No we can’t stop now/Who knows? Tomorrow it all could turn around.” For May, hope comes in the form of others.
It’s with this joyful melancholy Dent May draws in the world. Everything might be ending, the planet could be careening off into chaos, but tonight there’s a party down the block and you’re invited. Be sure and bring your friends.

Musically, 'The Ecstatic' weaves a global sonic tapestry shaped by an array of forward-thinking producers including Madlib, J Dilla, Oh No, Preservation, Mr. Flash, Chad Hugo (of The Neptunes), and Georgia Anne Muldrow. The resulting soundscape is both rooted in hip-hop tradition and unbound by genre, integrating elements of jazz, soul, Middle-Eastern inflection, and experimental sample work. Tracks like 'Supermagic' and 'Twilite Speedball' establish a vibrant, restless energy that mirrors the album’s expansive creative scope.
Lyrically, Yasiin Bey traverses personal, political, and philosophical terrain with characteristic incisiveness, confronting social inequality, Western imperialism, and questions of cultural identity with poetic urgency. Embracing risk and complexity rather than nostalgia, 'The Ecstatic' remains a mature, deeply felt body of work whose ambition, depth, and enduring resonance have solidified its place as a standout entry in Mos Def’s catalog and in modern hip-hop history.

It’s also LA. Maybe not first and foremost, but Los Angeles runs deep in this record’s present, and its lineage. The story of any big city is also one of transplants. DJ Premier in New York, Tupac in California. If you build it, they will come. Mike and Kenny both arrived in LA as young, aspiring artists who were drawn to the scene around groundbreaking rap crew Project Blowed. They have been friends—and occasional collaborators—for almost twenty years. Despite that, 'DOOMED!' is the first time the two have put together a full body of work. But everything happens in its time, and fate worked to bring them together at the exact moment that would allow the duo to create something extraordinary. Mike, fresh off a string of multi-producer records and processing the end of a tumultuous relationship, was in need of creative catharsis. Meanwhile, Kenny had locked in on his next challenge after a recent string of critically acclaimed collaborations not only with rappers like billy woods, and K-the-I???, but also jazz trio Human Error Club and bluesy indie rocker Benjamin Booker.
“In recent years, Kenny made it very clear that he wasn’t trying to keep having one or two beats on my projects; he wanted to build something,” Open Mike Eagle explains. “I was able to convince him to let me use a couple beats for 'Neighborhood Gods Unlimited' with the caveat that we would focus on our thing next. Then my relationship fell apart right when we started working, and it was like, ‘Perfect, I have a lot to say about this.’”
Here are some more particularly interesting insights from the man himself:
“If 'DOOMED!' is prestige TV, then think of 'Out To Lunch' as the pilot where we meet a man who’s not all there because his head is still in yesterday, and the following as a brief synopsis.
There’s a song that starts at an argument about the color of a rental car. There’s a song about trying to write a pair of lovers’ initials in wet concrete and the stick breaking. There’s a song that’s a prayer about finding the strength not to look at my ex’s social media. There’s a song about a character from Adventure Time who’s a piece of shit that I identify with. Each vision is a crashed airplane halfway on the border of dream and nightmare, bitter and sweet, sadness and freedom. Every one of Kenny’s beats is a chunk of ore from a different comet. I used each one as a canvas to paint my impression of a dead world.

The original idea was that Robert would write songs for Kenji's voice whose gorgeousness naturally guided him into a melodic baroque pop direction. Lyrically, too, a theme evolved about friendship, mutual encouragement and the state of the world.
What started out as home made demos in unfamiliar keys grew into fully fledged arrangements. Everybody involved sings lead on a track or two and harmonies on everything, so the album itself is the musical embodiment of the Radical Friendship idea, not in theory but in practice.
Radical Friendship Theory is not a band, it's a lovingly realised set of songs in a wide range of styles and arrangements, from baroque pop, to psych, from country rock to bookish indie, sung by a circle of friends between Glasgow, Kent, London, Berlin and southern Spain - a celebration of actual human, creative friendship as a life-saving alternative to a world of fake digital engagement, captive consumption and artificially sown division.

While REZN traffic in the unbridled realms of metal and untethered reaches of psychedelia, their latest release showcases a band working with discipline and intention, even when those intentions are rendered to be purposefully cryptic. As the album title implies, 'Cycles in the Infinite Dream' explores the nexus of our waking and nocturnal worlds. “We moved towards the dream and subconscious state as a lyrical concept and melodic theme,” the band explains. “The pseudo-waking state is a reflection of a second existence—something that you can flee to or be imprisoned by.” Much like the subconscious-guided work of David Lynch, Cycles in the Infinite Dream exists as parallax between the artist and the audience, creating an obscured and distorted space that is both familiar and alien, like a corridor into our past where we recognize our surroundings but somehow still feel lost within its warped geometry.
One of REZN’s most understated assets lies within guitarist/singer Rob McWilliams’ vocal approach. Eschewing heavy music’s guttural growls or operatic gymnastics, McWilliams has been steadfast in his soaring, delay-drenched melodies, providing a beguiling path through even the most primal and pummeling moments in the band’s repertoire. Like a piper calling you to join him, McWilliams forges through the darkness yet remains cloaked in mystery. Indeed, the voice serves more as an instrument and a guidepost than as a vehicle for poetry or a portrait of a personality. “Most of the instrumentation was created with vocal melodies in mind,” the band clarifies. “We made a lot of choices that were dictated by the vocals, sometimes rewriting songs completely if the vocal melodies demanded it.” That said, the band’s instrumentation on the album is still in the foreground and is an exceptionally mesmerizing presence throughout.
REZN have long operated—and thrived—in the subterranean realm of music heads who crave the aural equivalent of altered states. And with 'Cycles in the Infinite Dream', they have created their most psychotropic work to date.
STAFF COMMENTS
Barry says: Bracingly heavy, distorted mayhem on Sargen House's newest LP from Chicago post-metalers REZN. Though the overwhelming atmosphere is one of gothic intensity and metallic heft, the moments of (relatively) quiet introspective melodicism remind me of the later day ISIS albums or even Cave-In's more psychedelic moments. Habibi Funk’s new sister label Audible Beauty Records second release: A landmark collection retelling the untold story of Malaysian jazz featuring 9 songs from the legendary composer, arranger and trumpet player Johari Salleh. Salleh played a crucial role in shaping the sound of modern Malaysian music across radio, television, film and live performance and has composed dozens of popular songs in his decades long career. His personal musical passion always was jazz, reflected in this deep selection of jazz works that were previously unavailable unless you had one of the few dozen copies pressed locally in the 1970s. The album doesn’t only highlight his musical statue as a composer but also as a outstanding trumpet soloists bringing together jazz, spiritual undertones and Malaysian folkloric themes balancing slower pacing deep, modal grooves with more upbeat jazz funk leanings. For fans of Salah Ragab, Ahmed Malek, Mulatu Astatke, Dollar Brand and co.

Rat and Billy met back in the 90s when Billy's psychedelic pop band Flipron walked into Rat's studio asking how much time a hundred quid would buy them. Somehow, they managed to stay for a couple of years, and Rat produced two of their albums, and they've been friends ever since.
Since 2019, The Sinclairs have released two albums via Cleopatra Records ('Sparkle' in 2020, and 'The Long Slow Death Of A Cigarette' in 2023'), with not only sounds of psychedelic, gurgly, electronic, surfed punk, but with some rather special guests too - Zumi Rosow of Black Lips, Kid Congo Powers of The Cramps, Roger Chapman of iconic '60s band Family, and members of Japanese garage punk treasures The 5,6,7,8's, plus British actor Kevin Eldon.
Back with a new twin-spin 7" record, Rat and Billy have once again recorded two songs that are ready for world exposure. First up is 'Dirty River', with guest vocals from Bristol's glam-pop vocalist Emily Breeze. On the flip is '…And Garnish With A Fresh Tarantula'; a punked up surf guitar instrumental. Pick your favourite! Will it be savage fuzzed out glam-noir, or will it be swirling apocalyptic swamp pop?

Recorded in December 2025 at a secluded studio outside Stellenbosch, South Africa, the album captures the vibrant live energy of the band at its most expansive — drawing together free improvisation, South African jazz traditions, chamber music, kinetic groove, and ecstatic collective interplay into a singular body of work.
“This record is a very articulate representation of our sound, having grown deep roots into the earth with high branches reaching upward and outward”, says bassist Shane Cooper. “My desire is always to create sonic universes that can envelope the listener.”
The album’s title comes from a line in a poem by the 13th-century Persian poet Rumi, reflecting the music’s balance between groundedness and transcendence. Here, Skyjack move fluidly between meditative improvisation and lush orchestration across twelve tracks of free-spirited, cosmic journeying. Inspired both by the cultural traditions and natural environments of South Africa, Let The Sky Open Under Your Feet is a testament to the band’s intuitive connection and innate musical curiosity.
It arrives just over a year after Light Cycle (2024), a short gap that reflects the momentum built on tour. After exchanging sketches remotely across two continents, the band reunited in Johannesburg in late 2025, workshopped the new material onstage across South Africa, and then headed directly into the studio, where much of the album was recorded live in first takes — preserving the looseness and unpredictability central to Skyjack’s sound.
Comprised of Kyle Shepherd (piano), Shane Cooper (bass), Jonno Sweetman (drums), Andreas Tschopp (trombone), and Marc Stucki (saxophones), Skyjack first formed in Cape Town in 2013 during a fertile moment in South African jazz, as a new generation of musicians pushed against rigid genre definitions and opened the music outward toward broader sonic possibilities. Over the past decade, the band has built a singular sound drawing equally on South African groove traditions and European improvisation.
Individually, the members move between jazz, electronic music, film scoring, rock, hip-hop and experimental composition, with collaborations spanning artists including William Parker, Lionel Loueke, Zim Ngqawana, Ben LaMar Gay, Jorge Rossy, Shabaka Hutchings, William Kentridge, Makaya McCraven and Sylvie Courvoisier.
Since their self-titled debut in 2015, followed by The Hunter (2019) and Light Cycle (2024), the group has developed a reputation for immersive live performances and music that continuously reshapes itself in motion — rooted in what they describe as “warm menacing African grooves,” while refusing fixed stylistic borders.

This record is two years in the making, time the duo spent churning out a steady stream of remixes for an impressive roster of musicians, including The Presets, !!!, Crazy P, Force of Nature, Doves and Low Motion Disco. They've also been busy with their respective DJ projects – Dunks with the infamous duo Rub-N-Tug and Liv as one half of dance favorites House of House. On the heels of these numerous endeavors, Still Going have managed to return with a stellar new release.
“Spaghetti Circus,” the title track, pairs rubbery bass with trance-inducing waves of swooning, orchestral keys and dramatic piano. The B-Side, “Untitled Love,” changes the mood, settling comfortably into a space-ious, swaggering mid-tempo groove. Set against these lush backdrops are vocals from Reggie Watts, a singer whose performances both live and on record have established him as an immense talent. Watt’s urgent, rough-hewn voice serves to propel the driving rhythm of “Spaghetti Circus,” while on “Untitled Love,” his soulfully smooth vocals anchor the track’s languid pace.
Other featured performances on this long-awaited 12” are sure to generate even more enthusiasm for its release. Andrew Raposo, formerly of Hercules & Love Affair and now of Jessica 6, Midnight Magic and Tippy Toes, plays bass on both songs. Jason Rabe of Los Angeles-based band The VLA contributes lead guitar to “Spaghetti Circus” And Tim Lee, founder of noted electronic label Tummy Touch Records, plays the Rhodes on “Untitled Love.”

As was customary for Suede fans, there were treats in store too on the single’s incredible extra tracks – ‘Europe Is Our Playground’, ‘Another No One’, ‘Every Monday Morning Comes’… among the band’s fiercely loyal fans all of ‘Trash’’s “other sides” came to be seen as important as the ’A’!
Where all of Suede’s previous singles had been issued as 12” singles, ‘Trash’ was the first to pass over the format in favour of two separate CD singles, both featuring unique B-sides. For the single’s 30th anniversary this release pulls together both of those original CD1 / CD2 packages into one strictly limited 45 r.p.m. 12” E.P. on lilac vinyl.
For this unique release, ‘Coming Up’ graphic designer Howard Wakefield has come on board 30 years on to restore Nick Knight and Peter Saville’s iconic photography and artwork and reconfigure the visuals for full 12” glory.

The big theme of 'You Say I Romanticize' is hinted at in its title. Coming from a lyric sung on album closer 'Write Lightly'—a narrative about the importance of self-expression in writing being scrubbed away by “professional” concerns—many of the characters singer/bassist Mondal fleshed out here are outcasts, marginalized by society and turned into fanatics for a cornucopia of specific causes.
The visceral songwriting on 'You Say I Romanticize' features an equally visceral musical approach. Sweeping Promises brought live drummer Spenser Gralla into the recording sessions to give the songs a similar urgency to their live show. The frenzy of its execution also materializes in Mondal’s vocal performances.
A shadow side exists along with Sweeping Promises’ love of their artistic community—borne of weirdos channeling their “outcast” status into vibrant art and punk rock music. You Say I Romanticize takes the ethos Mondal and Schnug have developed and explores the obsessive, fanatical aspects of being ostracized and isolated by mainstream society.

Desperado is a sleek, sexy slice of Mexi-tech-house, a seductive make-up song on top of a bed of boppy, bleepy groove. Seriously dope. Calvin Klein takes just enough jack, adds a touch of squelch, mixes in a vocal about passing around drugs, and voila. Playable, club-ready, straight forward house music.
"Not That Please" is a shuffley, more tech-centric banger. "Flashy Riot" goes lower slung and hypnotic, while final track "Lado B" is a funky midtempo vibe-bringer that sounds like Moodyman with a side of guac. YUM.

Best known as a member of the electrifying 'Hagstone rock' four-piece The New Eves, Winder-Lind's solo work channels the same raw intensity and liberatory spirit while revealing a more intimate, deeply personal side to her songwriting. Expanding on the world introduced through her 2023 EP 'The Spirit Is Carnal' and first poetry collection 'Rod Ska Jag Leva' (2025), 'Wild Love' is an ambitious and emotionally expansive body of work from one of the most enthralling new voices in music today.
Though connected to the fierce communal energy of The New Eves , 'Wild Love' inhabits its own distinct emotional landscape. Across eleven songs, Winder-Lind brings together the wealth of her experiences and passions and reflects them back outwards, distilled with shimmering intensity. The album spells out a liberatory vision which she refuses to compromise, one rooted in emotional honesty, ecstatic expression and unfettered selfhood.
Female experience is a constant thread throughout the record, with songs paying tribute to "foremothers" and girls alike in a society that still attempts to pigeonhole women into narrow roles. Yet 'Wild Love' reaches beyond resistance alone. More than anything, the album radiates untrammelled animal energy: an overwhelming sense of aliveness, movement and emotional abandon.

The Sisters grew up on the road. Their schools were stages and studios all over the world, where they sang behind their parents, Zekkariyas & Zeriiya (fka Womack & Womack), alongside their four siblings. Nowhere was home for long. No matter where they lived—London, Thailand, Amsterdam, Kenya, Paris, Sydney, Zurich, Vienna, Tanzania, New York, Miami, West Virginia, the Bahamas—they were always surrounded by music and family.

DJ Perry Louis – Shiftless Shuffle: UK Dancefloor Jazz Compilation
Perry Louis is a pivotal figure in the UK jazz dance movement. As a dancer and choreographer, producer, DJ, broadcaster, and founder of the internationally respected jazz dance collective JazzCotech Dancers, he is perfectly placed to curate this collection.
Perry has been at the heart of the scene since the early 1980s, from JAFFAS, the Electric Ballroom, Dingwalls, Acid Jazz, Hi Hat, and Messin’ Around, taking its energy and sound as far as Japan, the USA, St. Lucia, India, Canada, and across Europe.
This compilation celebrates 25 years of Shiftless Shuffle, with Perry as its ambassador and driving force. Over the years, he has collaborated with top DJs including Paul Murphy, Gilles Peterson, Snowboy, Colin Curtis, and Shuya Okino, helping shape the UK jazz dance sound into a global phenomenon.
The album blends deep jazz, fusion, Latin, and groove-driven tracks, reflecting both the scene’s rich heritage and its forward momentum.
From the brand-new exclusive track by Kyoto Jazz Massive, Get It Together (Samba Fusion Mix), to Bunny Brunel’s Fickle Funk appearing on vinyl for the very first time, and the hard-hitting Caribbean Fire Dance by Tom Grant, this compilation tells the story of a movement—an underground culture born on UK dancefloors that has now captured a worldwide audience.

If there's one thing I'm good at it's finding records. It doesn't matter where in the world I am, I find records, the best records, the rarest records. And always in Mint condition. I have a knack for it. One place I like to hunt for records is South of the Border, in Mexico. You can find great records there, way out in those pequeños pueblos del desierto. Another great thing you can find is cactus.
Mexico is famous for cactus. You got your Ariocarpus, your Turbinicarpus, your Mammillaria. You got cactus of all kinds, big and small. Little ones like Eplithelantha, psychedelic ones like the peyote Lophophora, and rare ones like Aztekium. But my favourite is Mammillaria humboldtii. Now this one is very hard to find. The villagers over in Hidalgo know where it is, and they go high up in the mountains to look for it.
Now these guys, they take their time. But when they come down from those mountains, they bring back the most beautiful specimens. I really mean it, they're beautiful. They're like clumps of fluffy white golf balls, and they have these cute little pink flowers. Beautiful I tell ya. I pay precio alto for a good specimen of Mammillaria humboldtii.

Featuring productions from Mood II Swing, Jovonn, Roy Davis Jr. and Osunlade, the release highlights the soulful, groove-led house sound that has defined King Street across decades of dancefloor culture.
Mood II Swing's "Nafara" originally released in 2015 is a deep tribal roller, littered with hefty percussion and rooted by a two note bass motif. Velcha's "Getaway" meanwhile, here remixed by Jovonn, dates back to 1994 and is a highly swung exercise in house-garage crossover business, utilizing a classic diva vox to devastating effect.
Onto side B and another from 1994 - X Fade's "Good And Plenty". With a Lil Louie-esque saxophone lick parping away from the off, and bolstered with heavy house drums and background vocal chants, its the very epitome of a mid-session burner; for when the sweats dripping off the ceiling and you're lost in the melee of the dancefloor. Deep house spiritualist, Osunlade (just don't touch his hands remember) concludes with a fathoms deep, tribal house track: "The Fifth Dimension". Sitting nicely alongside Joe Claussell's Instant House out (or more recently "Iboga"-styled tracks); it's a hypnotic and magic track that takes you deep underground into the very essence of deep house music.

Musicians spend a lot of time working at home, with their pets for company. The pets sit around, happy in their own worlds, sublimely indifferent to their humans’ endeavours. As familiar as family members, but as unknowable as aliens, pets are the perfect muse. They can be treated as objects of adoration – ‘Rufus’ by Tugboat Captain is an expression of pure joy – or they can be treated as metaphors. More reliable than lovers but less dangerous than heroin, pets are a great vehicle for singing obliquely about something else. Swansea Sound’s ‘I Don’t Like Men In Uniform’ is about an ageing, irascible terrier, but it’s also about men striving to maintain their potency as territorial aggressors. The Magnetic Fields’ ‘Fido, Your Leash Is too Long’ is a libidinous and unreliable partner, as well as a dog that likes sniffing other dogs’ private parts.
For the most part, animals come off better than humans on this album. In ‘Kings Of The Animal Kingdom’, The Burning Hell dramatise our indulgent love of pets in order to expose our cruelty to other human beings. In ‘Bo’s New Haircut’, The Cords express the injustice and unfairness of an innocent animal having to submit to human demands. In ‘Crayon Potato’ by Sassyhiya, the magnificent Crayon contemptuously rejects the gifts offered by her besotted human owners.
In ‘Lola’, the opening track, Lande Hekt tries to put this enigmatic human-animal relationship into words. And concludes that however much we love our animals, and no matter how much we manage to communicate with them, we can never really know them. A melancholy conclusion maybe, but the music – as with all the songs on this album – is expressive of the wonderment and the joy that comes from sharing your life with a member of another species. The tracks by Brian Bilston and The Catenary Wires, Jetstream Pony and Railcard are previously unreleased.

This release symbolises a moment in time. A blueprint for dance music before the world knew what it was. Formally referred to as Garage, House or Loft music in the 80s, Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan shaped the sound from its roots. Larry, resident DJ at Paradise Garage, New York, Frankie at The Warehouse in Chicago, both prolific remixers and some of the first career DJs. Two close friends. Countless genres. One feeling.
RE:VERSAL are excited to present our third compilation, a strictly limited one-time pressing on high-quality 12" 180g heavyweight vinyl.
