Self produced in the band’s hometown of Liverpool, this self-titled EP is eclipsed by a haunting sense of the unknown through ghostly two-step and swathes of euphoric energy. Each of the five tracks here are underscored by distant falsetto, while submerged synthwave shimmers provide a superb spectral surround. Imagine Burial, Hype Williams or Caribou tracks remade with a leaning towards the melancholic yet uplifting indie music of Puressence or Mercury Rev.
