If anything their sound has hardened with this release, into a blistering, hardcore maelstrom. There is some melodic and rhythmic subtlety to be had; but this is essentially a howl of pain, characterized by ragged explosions of sound, unstable hardcore rhythms and raging vocals, underpinned by an unforgiving, emotionally agonising incest narrative. This, for the most part, is definitely NOT happy listening, but it's still deeply affecting, and that's as good a reason as any for getting your hands on it...
