Fort Romeau debuts on Rekids with the ‘Lovin’ U’ EP

London-based DJ and producer Fort Romeau arrives on Rekids with the ‘Lovin’ U’ EP. Opening the release, the title track beams sunshine through 8-bit melodies and a repeating, hypnotic vocal shot through with tasteful echoes, all underpinned by a tight drum groove. ‘No Limit’ dives into more of that endless depth, its vocal sample floating over the groove as delectable piano keys bring the party. Closing things out, the Trip Mix of ‘Breathe’ eases the pace, snappy rhythms laying the foundation while dubby chords spring through a track built for daydreaming.

Fort Romeau, aka Michael Greene, has spent more than a decade shaping a sound that blends deep house, hypnotic techno and ambient influences. His productions have appeared on labels including Ghostly International, Running Back, Live at Robert Johnson, Cocoon and Permanent Vacation, alongside more than 100 remixes for a wide range of artists. As a DJ, he's contributed mixes to BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix, the Resident Advisor Podcast and Circoloco Radio, while his latest EP for Rawax became one of Juno's bestselling records of 2026.

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: One of our favourite producers on one of our favourite labels! I can't believe it's taken so long for Michael Greene to release on Matt Edwards' seminal imprint, but here we are. It's been well worth the wait, as the iconic producer rolls out some deep, dubby, highly textured dance music that'll have high definition sound system singing in electronic delight.
