Chris Scott's back catalogue keeps giving up gems, and this one, cut with Lee Melrose under their shared The Dominican alias back in 1999, might be among the best. There's nothing flashy about it - just a shuffling, hypnotic groove built with real patience, the kind of understated deep house that felt slightly ahead of its time on release and now sounds completely in step with where the genre landed. Endell Street's remaster doesn't overpolish it, just lets the original charm breathe properly. Nearly three decades later it still holds up without a hint of strain and marks a great addition to the label.
