From the acclaimed remix of Francis Harris single 'You Can Always Leave (Curtains)' to her collaboration with Frank & Tony on the heavily sought after 'Companion', DJ Sprinkles' indelible touch has become legendary.

The DJ Sprinkles remix of 'You Can Always Leave (Curtains)' feat. Gry Bagøien was originally released on the vinyl only single 'You Can Always Leave' in 2013. The original appeared on Francis Harris album 'Minutes Of Sleep' (2014) and features the vocals of Danish singer Gry Bagoien alongside Greg Paulus on trumpet.

Likewise 'Companion' was released vinyl-only on the first out of three EPs that formed Frank & Tony's debut album 'You Go Girl' in 2014. Both vinyl releases have been out of print since their initial release and now, after much demand, Scissor & Thread presents a limited re-issue including new DJ Sprinkles remasters.

"You Can Always Leave " glues itself to a delicate and hypnotic groove; the gentle flutter of a synthesizer whirring over soft, playful drums and deep plumes of bass. Echoes of distance glockenspiels and the faintest ghost of Loletta Holloway also drift through the mix which is seemingly dubwise and paradisical in equal measure. A truly magical moment from Sprinkles.

"Companion" chugs along at a reduced pace than its predecessor, another rootsical B-line cementing the groove of the track. Hazy pads, thick atmos, and percussion that's incredibly detailed create a rich tapestry of sound that thankfully, over it's 12 minute duration, is in no hurry to end. A real mid-afternoon burner for when the sun's been out, energy levels have dropped but spirits are still rising high. Deep house perfection.
