After woo'ing the world with a fine portfolio of disco, soul and Balearic edits (as well as famously becoming DJ Harvey's go-to editsmith!!), Pete Blaker is ready to let us in on his personal productions. We kinda guessed he'd be a bit of a studio boffin, such is the pedegree of his cut-n-pastes; so it was no surprise the finesse and level of detail exuded across this fine double pack of sumptuous, deep house grooves.

Focussing on hypnotic repetition, soft sounds and subtle, but intricate percussion, the tracks on "Swimming Limbs" unfurl slowly but deliberatly. Not a single element is unthought out or hurried. This is music to get seriously lost in. A delicate flutter here, a soothing throb here; a gentle pitter-patter of drums, all held together with a loose, organic knit that rolls and flexes with the listener in the most pleasing of ways. A sophisticated and highly considered masterpiece and another side to this fledging superstar we've not been privy to before now. What a treat!
