'Nothing’s About to Happen to Me' is the eighth studio album by Mitski. All songs and vocals are by Mitski. The album was produced and engineered by Patrick Hyland and mastered by Bob Weston, with assistance on drums and logistics from Kris Bulakowski. Continuing the musical through line established with 'The Land Is Inhospitable' and 'So Are We', the album features live instrumentation by The Land touring band and ensemble arrangements. The orchestra was recorded at Sunset Sound and TTG Studios, arranged and conducted by Drew Erickson, engineered by Michael Harris, with additional engineering by Isaac Diskin and assistance from Alex Miller. Standout singles include 'Where’s My Phone?', 'I’ll Change for You', and 'If I Leave'.

Mitski’s forthcoming new album Nothing’s About to Happen to Me (Feb 27, Dead Oceans) finds Mitski immersing herself in a rich narrative whose main character is a reclusive woman in an unkempt house. Outside of her home, she is a deviant; inside of her home, she is free.

At the Tansy House Listening Event on Sat Feb 21, Mitski invites fans to join her in that home for an early listening of Nothing’s About to Happen to Me and scrapbooking at her desk. The album will also be available for pre-order (including a very limited quantity of 'Gold Cat Eye' coloured vinyl) and can be picked up on release day.

Fans who attend the listening event are encouraged to bring their favourite pens, stickers, and other crafting supplies. We will have a limited quantity of Tansy House letterhead notepads available, on which you can write, doodle, and scrapbook as you listen to the unreleased album. The finished pages will be attached to a Desk of Mitski poster hung in the shop. We'll be submitting photos of the decorated posters and our favourite scrapbook pages for the chance to be featured on @themitskiverse Instagram page.

We will also have a limited quantity of prints and wristbands to give away.

IMPORTANT! We're expecting this event to be busy. All the freebies are very limited and priority will be given to people who have preorder the album from us, either in advance or on the day.
