By now the byzantine myth has been fully investigated; all the turmoil surrounding the record might prove pedantic if the music itself wasn’t this flawless. And yet, credit where credit is due, despite the usual fracas behind oral history: it was Tony’s, not Larry’s, all along. Here, we’re spoiled with a smattering of such contested mixes, with the original studio’s synth and guitar layers wholly intact, along with Humphries’ exceptional club extension—it’s all essential and hype-sticker adorned. Still waiting for the article pinning James Murphy for his blatant rip of this triumphant gospel classic on that 2006 Nike commission.

Matt says: It's back! And now with the infamous Tony Humphries mixes (who, it turns out, was the culprit all along!). A mystical record; of which the genie burst out the bottle some years ago. It's still retained that lure and magic though. One of those 'every home needs one' records.
