About this item

Taken from the self-titled debut album by AIR, originally released in 1971 on Embryo Records, the label founded by the legendary Herbie Mann. A rare gem in the annals of jazz, progressive soul and cosmic folk, this reissue captures the warmth and creativity of a band well ahead of its time.

Extremely limited blue vinyl 7” in a printed jacket just like the first release. Original copies of this hen's-teeth rare 7" regularly fetch over £150... just sayin'!

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: Truly rare records are often that - just rare. Just because it's rare doesn't mean its GOOD. Not the case here as we get another roll of the dice of this supreme slice of soul-drenched jazz funk that sounds fabulous. Amazing vocals, amazing musicianship... amazing record! Remember "Magic Song" by Heikki Sarmanto & Jeannine Otis? - it's a bit like that!
