Shadowy house business here from new imprint Liquid Luve Discs who enlist Leipzig producer DJ Balaton for their inaugural release. There's an inventiveness, poise and sophistication at work here with particular attention to deep grooves and playful sound design.  Deep n dubby, it sits nicely alongside microhouse productions from the early 00s such as Akufen or Matthew Herbert or even Ricardo Villalobos. I'm especially liking the rich, velvety textures and red-lit sonic hues of this understated, but highly functional four tracker. Warm up DJs - you need this in your record bag!
