Taken from 1980, Gil Scott-Heron's 1980 collaboration with long-time ally Brian Jackson, this 7" single pairs Gil's gravel-toned vocals with a disco-leaning, effortlessly fluid groove. The original LP marked the final full-length from the duo before parting ways, catching them at a point where jazz-funk looseness gave way to sleeker, post-disco arrangements. This track slips between the two modes with ease - laidback but punchy, slick but full of bite. Extremely limited extension by Dope Jams - cop it while you can!
