About this item
A feral, tightly wound barrage of math-damaged noise rock from Manchester instrumental duo BINGE, featuring Mark Heron — original drummer of local post-rock legends Oceansize. Toothache is thirty-one minutes of barely-contained chaos, a hyper-dynamic rhythmic backbone beneath the whirlwind of stuttering, dissonant guitar riffs and punishing low-end filth. Landing somewhere between the dense, freeform hysteria of early Hella and the muscular, speaker-rattling grooves of Lightning Bolt, BINGE fuse precision and power into something both brutal and ecstatic.
Recorded live without overdubs, these tracks burst with immediacy and tension — all hairpin turns, false endings, and crushing repetition. BINGE’s interplay borders on the telepathic, each track twisting through unpredictable structures with raw physicality and feverish control. Toothache is confrontational, sweaty and weirdly euphoric — an unhinged joyride through mathcore, noise punk and sludge-adjacent experimentalism.
STAFF COMMENTS
Barry says: Sounding like the glorious, unhinged offspring of Botch and Dillinger Escape Plan who's been playing about with that little scamp Converge and learning all their tricks. A furious, superbly technical fusion of hardcore and noise, superbly produced and heavy af.
