About this item
In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the 'Jewellery Quarter' - The Twang -
will be releasing a very special edition of the album this December, re-recorded and remastered, and on vinyl for the frst time ever
A firm fan favourite from the Midlands indie massive, the album originally debuted at number 20 in the UK charts upon its release in 2009, with hit singles such as 'Barney Rubble' and 'Encouraging Sign', alongside live staples such as 'Took The Fun' and 'Back Where We Started', all cementing its celebrated status. Named after the area the band have been based since 2008, 'Jewellery Quarter' has many other Birmingham reference points - most notably the cover art which was hand sprayed by local graffiti artist Temper and uses the unmistakable Baskerville typeface which was designed in Birmingham in 1757. With a timeless indie sound and a distinctive pre B- Town bounce, the album was mixed by Neil Claxton (of Mint Royale) and stands out as one of the defnitive indie records of its era.
