About this item

Burning Sounds was a reggae label opperating from the late 70s - mid 80s. With an archive packed with quality roots, dancehall and dub albums, the imprint has been relaunched to release nuggets from the back catalogue.

For this release we're treated to 1978's 'Slum In Dub' album. Engineered by Prince Jammy and featuring the Revolutionaries as the studio band (Sly & Robbie, Ansel Collins, Uziah "Sticky" Thompson, Noel "Scully" Simms, Tommy McCook etc). The set features heavyweight rockers dubs with lots of studio efx, but hardly a murmer from Mr Isaacs himself, so if you want an album of mostly Cool Ruler songs, look elsewhere.

180g vinyl reissue with original 1978 sleeve artwork.
