ABOUT THIS ITEM
In 2008 Third Ear Recordings released The Soul Is Back by Soul Designer (Fabrice Lig). Now the track is given a second punt into the field by a squat team of elite remixers. Luke Slater kicks things off and supplies a deep, tribal tinged tech-house mix. Bubbling and simmering with a hefty throbbing kick holding it all down, the track subtly develops into a growling future-beast, with crazy vocal snippets, nagging white noise and monstrous sub rumbles. A real demon. Marco Passarani goes for a digital disco / italo-house slant, somewhere between De-lites "Wild Times" and Daniel Wang's "Like Some Dream". It's basically feel good, high energy vibes with a strong melody running through and detailed synth lines. Lovely. Fluxion provides tons of bass pressure and a lush, dubby tech refix; with a gorgeously deep melody hidden within the submerged production. One for the aircraft hangers and abandoned warehouses. Finally the money shot, the UR Timeline Remix Feat. Jon Dixon. The verdict? CLASSIC, Los Hermanos / Galaxy2Galaxy style UR with live piano, gospel vocals, swinging drums and somehow incorporating the disco classic "Spread Love" into its arrangement. Genius, euphoric, excellence!
