ABOUT THIS ITEM
"The Radiophonic Workshop" was the third album to be released from the BBC's far-flung maverick outpost in Maida Vale, originally coming out on vinyl in 1975. After the previous two Workshop LPs featuring mainly commissioned work, it was decided to try something different for the third. With the exception of three pieces, all the tracks here were composed especially for this album. It was also decided to make the recording an experiment in stereo audio production, as most of the Workshop's output at the time was still in mono. The producers featured on the album include Dick Mills, Glynis Jones, John Baker, Paddy Kingsland, Richard Yeoman-Clark, Malcolm Clarke and Roger Limb.
