“Umbrella Music”, brainchild of local musician Phil McIntyre is a Manchester based record label. They strive to provide quality music to the population of Greater Manchester and are dedicated to helping up-and-coming talent achieve their dreams.

The Manchester music scene has a very special and interesting history, some of the worlds best music was created in and inspired here. The vibrancy and diversity of Manchester music was never lost, with exciting and inventive new acts continually appearing on the scene.
In the last few years, the worldwide music industry seems to have somewhat forgotten, or at least neglected the massive debt they owe to Manchester and the up-and-coming talent is finding it ever harder to break into the market.
Philip McIntyre, having spent several years trying to succeed as a Manchester musician, was well familiar with the difficulties presented to new talent. He founded “Umbrella Music” (as part of the Young Enterprise Scheme) on the 28th October 2010 with Oliver Elsholtz, Sam Bastable and Kyle McConell (also musicians) with the intention of giving local music the support it needs in order to flourish and reach its full potential.

This compilation is their debut release.
