Maft Sai comes up with the goods once more in his excellent "Thai Funk" series. "Luk Thung" means 'song of the child of the fields'. No cover versions here, only the rawest funk grooves with a deep Thai folk feel. As with volumes 1 and 2, the CD package includes a fold out poster featuring images of all the original record sleeves and labels showing where the tracks were taken from (not that you'll be able to find those originals - we're talking obscure here!). After the first two CDs in the series coming with a hanky, this time we go one better with a hand made bamboo-weave pouch!
