As you couldn't have failed to notice, the past few years have seen a huge rhythm & blues (along with blues, boogie woogie, jive, rockabilly etc) revival taking place. Just the number of reissued 7" singles we've been selling every month is an indicator of the interest in this fantastic 1950s / 1960s American sound. Fresh, raw, energetic, sing-along and around the three minute mark, these tracks were made for dancing. Although more well known for his deep funk sets, Keb Darge has a neat sideline in rhythm & blues sessions - after all, there's only so many funk 45s you can own before the collector in you sets out in search of something else. "Legendary Rockin’ R&B" series sets out to expose lesser known or forgotten lights of R&B music from the 50s and 60s. You might recognise some of the names and tracks from the 7" reissues we've had, the rest will be new treats waiting for the needle to hit the groove...
