ABOUT THIS ITEM
Mute's Grey Area offshoot reissue this BBC Radiophonic Workshop LP. Originally compiled and released in 1968 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Workshop, the set was then reissued in 1971 with a couple of Delia Derbyshire pieces added. The record was produced with the intention of entertaining rather than informing, and the items chosen do not necessarily represent a survey of the music created at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Instead the set focuses on the more melodic work of the Workshop's three main composers at the time; Delia Derbyshire, John Baker and David Cain, featuring 33 of their tracks.
