DMC World Champion, Kanye West's tour DJ, blah-de-blah-de-blah... Yep, we all know the hype surrounding A-Trak by now. However, what really matters to clubbers, and why he's such a hit with dancefloors is that A-Trak knows how to rock a party. You might expect him to just ramp up the synth-squealing electro factor to get the kids throwing shapes on the flo', and there is plenty of that here (MSTRKRFT, Kid Sister, Bag Raiders, Fake Blood, Housemeister etc), but he also tempers that with big bass bombs and proper tunes (Laurent Wolf, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Sebastien Tellier, Midnight Juggernauts, Gonzales etc). And then he sneaks in some unexpected extra treats as well - Dam-Funk, Alexander Robotnick and the Prins Thomas mix of James Yuill caught my ear at the end of this 21 track mix CD.
