Twin Cities under other guises(Guynamite / Guynamukat / Analog Jones) have already attracted the attention of tastemakers across the globe with airplay from KCRW's Jason Bentley, Toshio Matsuura, Michael Ruetten and Radio 1's Gilles Peterson. This debut double A-side takes their melodramatic sound out of the basement and lets it loose on an unsuspecting world. "Raincloud" features Shea Soul, well known for collaborations with MJ Cole, Phil Asher and last summer's funky house smash "Make it Funky". On "Raincloud", Twin Cities take her into classic soul territory but mix it up with their own brand of futuristic stardust. Shea delivers on the vocals with a song that's simple, sophisticated and universal all at the same time. "Anticipation" is a searing ballad driven by synths and swing beats. Duchy's emotional performance rises and falls with the dramatic arrangement. It was ony a matter of time before Twin Cities teamed up with Duchy. Having met at London's legendary CDR night, a shared love of classic songwriting and desire to reach for the future led to this track and other collaborations soon to be heard.
