A sweet 7” sampler for the CD only "Brownswood Bubblers Five" compilation. Trilogy's "Brother Don’t Cry" is slo-mo, hip hop-soul with wonderful soul-jazz vocals by Lucy Saaroni. Vocals, piano, bass and rimshot / kick-drum plus some synth wash atmospherics. A beauty. As is Ragen Fykes' "Love Life", a slightly fatter hip hop-soul track with warm pads, fat basslines and some glitchiness in the beats for a slight bit of wonk in the production. Essential!
