WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND? / LATER FOR DANCING

ABOUT THIS ITEM

In advance of a long-overdue album collection ("Back To Reality"), Stones Throw whet our appetites with this double header of original 80s boogie by Tony Cook, longtime drummer for James Brown amongst others. "What's On Your Mind?" was originally unfinished and among tracks recorded for a side project of Cook's that never saw the light of day until it fell into the hands of Dam-Funk and Peanut Butter Wolf, who then added the final touches, even getting Piccadilly Records favourite Dam-Funk to add new vocals. The flipside features another 80s original, the more upbeat "Later For Dancing" featuring Tavell on vocals. Both sides feature vocal, instrumental and acapella cuts.
