ABOUT THIS ITEM

Ah, the greatest band ever? One of the only bands from the Sixties who never sound dated, and who you'll 'get' as soon as you'll press play, no guff required. If you're a newcomer then this is a mad but strangely suitable place to start because they broke up right after this gig; you could start here and work your way backwards! There's a song off each of their four proper albums and the band never sounded so relaxed and informal. It was recorded into a cheap, portable tape player in the summer of 1970, and has now been remastered, although bare in mind this is effectively a bootleg recording, but that isn't the important thing here. These are amazingly perfect songs from the most influential band ever, on a magical, low-fi album that's shaped part of their legend. To me, it's indispensible.
