It's easy to see why in the 1960's the Pretty Things were considered to be rougher, dirtier and sexier than the Stones. All the R'n'B dynamics are here in spades and the quality is fantastic. The one thing they lacked was Jagger's charisma but Phil May's voice has stood the test of time and there's a raw excitement to these tracks that's hard to equal.
