ABOUT THIS ITEM

Formed in 2007 in a dark cave somewhere in Brixton, the Mythical Beasts are 'Foolish' Felix Dickinson and Toby Tobias (or, for this release, Crockett and Tubbs... perhaps even Pegasus & Jian). Felix has been DJing, producing and compiling records since the Tonka days of 1990 (check out his "Originals" compilation on Claremont 56) and Toby has been spinning all over the world, releasing great tunes on Rekids and Tracky Bottoms, and even compiled the new MOS "Underground Disco" album in his spare time!

So here they pair up for some yacht-rocking slo-mo Balearic soft-rock blissfulness on "Communicate", which comes across like the long-lost bastard brother of Jan Hammer’s "Crockett’s Theme": time to roll up the sleeves on your suit jacket, throw away your socks, dust off the espadrilles and off head into the Miami underworld (with a 2011 twist).

Remixes come courtesy of a tropical treat from International Feel's Bavarian friends Permanent Vacation, who serve up a deep techy house variation, electro-boogie newcomer Alphabet City, who adds an 80s vibe of a different kind, and an abstract floor-filling disco-house gem from Das Volt.
