After four years in the making The Middle East have arrived with this five track EP.
The Australian seven-piece have been living quietly and comfortably in Queensland's northern villages, the band's hub. Members have come and gone from the sunny skies to discover pastures new, but the core of the band have returned and The Middle East are back as they once were - making music.
"The Middle East EP” imbues the sound of everything from chamber pop to psych folk. Alive with delicate acoustic sounds and romantic reveries, “Blood” establishes itself with sparse guitar and verses sung with delicate vocals building up to a powerful crescendo. “The Darkest Side” boasts gentle guitar stylings, delicate emotive 3-way vocals and chorus harmonies. Whilst live favourite “Lonely” with its snug orchestrations, hushed vocals and impressive guitar assault combines everything that is incredible about this band in one wonderfully impressive sonic journey.
