Fresh from collaborating with TV On The Radio and Mike Patton, Oakland based sextet Subtle (including Anticon's Doseone and Themselves' / cLOUDDEAD's Jel) have recorded a new studio album. The final part in the trilogy of records that started out with "A New White" followed by "For Hero: For Fool", with missing links filled in by "Wishingbone" and "Yell & Ice", "Exiting Arm" is the deepest and most accessible Subtle long player so far. Featuring the band's usual mash-up of avant rock, electronica and hip hop, the album also features a new-found melodic touch, with subtle (no pun intended!) harmonies. The album has been receiving rave reviews from The Wire and Pitchfork amongst others.
