ABOUT THIS ITEM
Steely Dan's third album, "Aja" was released in 1977 and became a top five seller in both the US and UK. Having ditched a full band a few years previously, the set features songwriters Walter Becker and Donald Fagen working alongside a selection of accomplished session players (saxophonist Wayne Shorter appears on the title track). Packed with smooth lyrical easy-jazz-pop songs (check "Peg", as sampled by De La Soul), all featuring Fagan's distinctive nasal vocals and delicious harmonies, the album feels like the soundtrack to sophisticated LA life of the era that you'll either love or hate. Me, I LOVE it!!.
