ABOUT THIS ITEM
Acting as a follow up of sorts to 2009’s split 45 featuring Spacemen 3 and Wooden Shjips- this one is another nailed on, killer pairing of likeminded souls. The mighty Sun Araw locking horns with the Spacemen this time round.
The Spacemen side features the rare vocal demo version to “That’s Just Fine”- the instrumental for which first appeared as a B side track to 1988’s “Take Me To The Other Side” 12” single on Glass. This rare out-take with vocals sounds great given the 45 treatment!
On the flip, Cameron Stallones’ Sun Araw offers up a fabulous take on the Jaybird Coleman classic blues piece “I’m Gonna Cross That River of Jordan”. An incredible version, heavy on dense layers of glorious feedback, coated with sweet 2 chord keyboard and heavy dubbed vocals. Totally stunning and an eternal builder over 9 minutes of value for money wax!
A fabulous match up- spanning 17minutes plus on 7” wax, in an edition of 1000 only in cool Marco Papiro sleeve art and on half clear, half red vinyl. Just perfect….
