Each track is wildly re-contextualized leaving us with a beautifully obtuse yet complimentary rendering. The personnel employed range from household names like Andrew Weatherall and Justin Vandervolgen (not yer average household then...) to lesser-knowns like Tiago, Beautiful Swimmers, Cos/Mes, Cage & Aviary, Ray Mang and Cosmo. All the remixes vary in style and technique - such is the ethos of Soft Rocks and furthermore, the ESP Institute itself. ESP consider "Curse Of Soft Rocks" and "The Revenge Of Soft Rocks" to be pivotal mordern works of art. I reckon they're pretty good cosmic / Balearic CDs as well...
