John Hughes Jr's Slicker project returns, bringing a haulk of new collaborators plucked from obscurity by his Hefty / Aestuarium labels. So Khadijah Anwar guests with Hughes on vocals and Dan Boardi's trumpet features alongside the rest of the band. The tune itself is a gentle ode to his daughter, following soft electro breaks, multiple looped vocal samples and many instrumental layers. Remixer Spanova brings a jazzed out electronica tempo, while the sonically devastating Telefon Tel Aviv with its slow bump beats and crescendos of noise version is the epic of the bunch.
