ABOUT THIS ITEM
At last, the debut album from Croydon's wonderkid finally drops. At 15 he discovered making music and five years later he's helped to changed the course of the UK urban scene, helping lay the foundations of dubstep. From the opening haunting strings of "Tortured Soul", which brings to mind the work of Phillip Glass of Aphex Twin, via the explosion of electro arpeggios and dub sub-bass in his signature tune "Midnight Request Line", or the more optimistic chords and guitar of "Dutch Flowerz" to the heavy vocal cuts featuring Warrior Queen and JME (on "Check-It" and "Tapped" respectively) and heavy digi sounds of "Auto-Dub", it's clear that this is a sonic visionary at work.
