With a series of great releases on his own Red Rack'em imprint, Danny Berman's soul remixes and disco edits have found their way into the record boxes of the Unabombers, Todd Terje, Swag, Yam Who, Prins Thomas and many more. Now he joins Tirk for another four cuts for the dancefloor. Title track "Valiant Truth" is a cosmic-tinted chugger with some nice pitch-bending synth lines, arpeggios and a nice fat slapped bass line. More upbeat is "Jazz Ending", a tough but funky house cut with Detroit-style jazz-tech keys. "Whole New Way" keeps the electronic edge, but on a warped West End style dub-disco tip, touched-up with some great percussive loops. We end with "Favourite Effects", another slinky percussive disco-funk groover with more hi-end keyboard wobbles. Hot Coins, hot tracks, hot hot hot!
