This is the soundtrack to the semi-autobiographical film "Purple Rain", in which Prince also starred, dating from 1984. As ever he serves up a blend of catchy soul-rock-pop tracks, including classics like "When Doves Cry" (his first track to top the US singles chart), "Let's Go Crazy", "I Would Die 4 U" and the title track.
