This is the first in a series of 12”s in which Pacific Horizons call on their friends to rework their tracks. First up is Bitches Brew label owner and Loft resident Cosmo and her reworking of “Beaches Of The Black Sea”. Working with Yam Who?, the trio reconstruct the original version into a housed-up party jam of the highest order, retaining the flamenco guitar and adding a ridiculously heady bass-led groove. A Balearic-tinted house essential. On the flip, two of Los Angeles’s finest DJs, TK Disko and Alexandre Mouracad, producing as Split Secs, turn “Stealing The Fire From Heaven” into a heavy freestyle workout with a mind melting synth lead intended strictly for the floor. 500 copies designed and packaged with love by the band in custom disco sleeves with black paper inner sleeves.
